Frequently Asked Questions

What services do you offer?

Functional medicine – or root cause medicine – is a patient-centered approach to treatment. I focus on balancing the body’s biology and systems by treating the underlying causes of illness and disease.

Functional testing looks deeper than standard blood work. It’s designed to find underlying imbalances in nutrition, metabolism, hormones, gut health, and immune function that may be contributing to anxiety, depression, mood swings, ADHD, OCD, or other mental health concerns

How will results be used?

Your care plan may change based on the test results. This could include:

• Adjusting supplements or diet to restore nutrient balance

• Supporting detox and reducing inflammation

 • Improving digestion and gut health

 • Targeting hidden infections

 • Personalizing medication support for increased effectiveness and fewer side effects

I provide psychiatric medication management and integrative consultation. I do not offer emergency or crisis services or ongoing psychotherapy.

What makes you different?

We combine a thoughtful, human-centered approach with clear communication and reliable results. It’s not just what we do—it’s how we do it that sets us apart.

Your brain chemistry depends on a steady supply of nutrients and a balanced environment inside your body.

Functional testing can uncover:

 • Vitamin and mineral deficiencies that affect chemical messengers (including neurotransmitters like serotonin and dopamine)

 • Hormone or thyroid imbalances that change mood and energy

• Inflammation or immune activity that disrupts brain function

 • Hidden infections or toxins that keep the nervous system on “high alert
